We aide you in this journey by providing you with the skills necessary to safely enter the world of scuba diving and to help you get the most out of your diving experience.

Our open water certification classes are restricted to 1 or 2 students and tailored to meet your schedule. We provide some of the most comprehensive scuba instruction available and take our time doing so. Making sure that our students are comfortable and confident with there new skills is our number one goal.

If you are looking strictly to become certified we can recommend a number of fine dive shops but if you wish to become truly skilled scuba divers you have come to the right place.

Our Instructors

Our instructors come from a variety of certifying agencies. The agencies I've looked at all have high standards. However standards seem to be interpreted more loosely amongst dive shops and instructors than what was intended by the certifying agencies. More important than the agency are the teaching skills and dedication of the instructor. Ocean Star Instructors agree to follow standards that are set to meet or exceed the standards set by the major scuba certifying agencies. Another important detail about our staff is that we are instructors and not sales people. We do not sell scuba gear nor do we get any type of commission on the gear that you buy so you do not have to worry about a class session being a sales pitch for gear. Our business is making sure you learn.
