Scuba Gear
Ocean Star Scuba is dedicated to training and activities that are designed to keep divers actively involved in the sport. To keep our instructors focused on the art of teaching we do not allow them to get involved in gear sales. However to aide our students in making solid gear selections one of our first lectures will take place in a local dive shop where the basic features of the various equipment will be taught. The shops we train in offer our students a discount while they are in one our classes.
Students are required to supply their own mask, fins, snorkel, booties, bathing suits (these are NOT optional) and towels. Ocean Star instructors will supply the major gear (tanks, regulators, pressure and depth gauges, and buoyancy compensators).
Ocean Star Scuba approved Dive Centers
The following list of shops meet our standards for dive shop operations and some have agreed to give discounts to our students while they are in class. Shops that are not listed here do not necessarily fail to meet our standards but we simply have chosen not to list everyone.
